6x6 Open Mesh
This open mesh structure is especially suited to large-format applications such as construction fencing, scaffolding, crowd control barriers, and event perimeters where durability and airflow take priority over fine detail. While the more open weave reduces overall print resolution compared to tighter meshes, it still provides strong brand visibility from a distance.
For added convenience and ease of installation, banners are hemmed and finished on all four sides with clear, non-rust polypropylene eyelets, providing a clean and reliable solution for hanging or securing signage with cable ties, hooks, ropes, or screws.
All 6×6 Open Mesh Banners are printed using UV-cured inks for lasting outdoor performance. They are available in a height up to 1800mm and custom lengths up to 50 metres. Banners can be supplied rolled or panel-ready, depending on your project requirements.
Job Summary
6x6 Open Mesh
Our 6x6 Open Mesh Banners are tailored for custom-sized signage where print clarity and airflow performance are essential. This product offers full flexibility in sizing both in height and length and is finished with heat-welded hems and clear Plastgrommet® eyelets on all four edges.
This product exclusively uses our 6x6 Open Mesh, which offers superior print clarity and 60% surface coverage with 40% airflow ideal for high-resolution visuals in both low and moderate wind conditions. These banners are printed with Durst UV Matte ink on durable outdoor PVC mesh, offering excellent weather resistance and bold visibility. FAQ
We do not recommend cutting banners after production, and we do not offer wind slits (also known as moonholes) as part of our finishing. Each banner is sealed with reinforced welded edges and precision eyelet spacing to ensure strength and stability during installation. Cutting into the mesh whether manually or by adding moonholes can weaken the banner structure and increase the risk of tearing.
Our internal testing has shown that moonholes do not significantly improve wind permeability. In fact, they often lead to stress points that reduce the stability of the banner, especially in high-wind environments. For windy sites, we recommend selecting an appropriate mesh grade (such as 6x6 open weave) and reducing eyelet spacing to ensure proper tension and wind flow.
Mesh banners should always be installed under proper tension to prevent flapping and reduce the risk of tearing. They must be secured tightly at all reinforced eyelet points using cable ties, rope, or approved fasteners especially along all edges. Banners that are left loose or unsupported can flap excessively, creating strain well beyond the mesh’s rated wind tolerance.
If tearing occurs, it usually means the banner was subjected to wind loads above the recommended limits, as outlined in our product specifications. In such cases, Mediapoint does not accept responsibility for damage caused by improper installation, lack of bracing, or extreme weather exposure. Always match the mesh grade and eyelet spacing to the wind conditions of your site, and ensure the fence or structure is stable and able to hold tension across the full length of the banner.
Yes. Our system is built specifically for trade resellers and includes full white-label support. You can upload your logo, which we’ll include on the packaging label for brand consistency. We also allow you to attach any required shipping documents, such as packing slips or delivery notes, which are included with the shipment.
All orders are blind shipped, meaning your customer will never see Mediapoint’s branding, only yours. This ensures a seamless and professional experience for your end client, while protecting your reseller relationship.
Our banners are finished with clear polypropylene Plastgrommet® eyelets, which offer several advantages over traditional metal eyelets. Polypropylene is rust-proof, UV-stable, and won’t corrode or stain the banner material over time making it ideal for outdoor use. These eyelets are also lighter and safer to handle, especially in high-traffic areas or construction sites where metal can pose a scratching hazard.
From a sustainability perspective, polypropylene eyelets are fully recyclable and reduce the environmental impact of mixed-material waste. They also allow us to finish banners faster and more efficiently using automated equipment, which keeps turnaround times short and costs low without compromising durability.
No. 6x6 Open Mesh orders must be placed using the available configurations and turnaround times in our system, and we’re unable to make one-off exceptions or manually alter finishes outside of those options. This product relies on defined production and finishing workflows to deliver consistent openness, stable print results, and predictable handling, and the turnaround times in the system reflect the required process steps. We do not have a solution for processing off-system requests for individual jobs, as it affects production efficiency and delivery commitments. If you regularly require a different open mesh setup, are purchasing a similar product in volume from another supplier, or see an ongoing demand across customers, we welcome that feedback for consideration as a long-term system enhancement.
6x6 Open Mesh is designed for applications that require maximum airflow and custom sizing, which means it must be produced using bespoke workflows rather than high-volume batching. Unlike our fixed height mesh products that are standardised for efficient production, open mesh jobs allow custom heights and varying finishes, making it impossible to batch multiple orders together on master rolls. Each order requires individual setup, cutting, and finishing, and the open structure of the material can also result in higher material waste during production. Because this product cannot be processed through our Plastgrommet All-In-One finishing system and requires more handling per job, the true cost of production is significantly higher. This is why pricing is higher compared to fixed height mesh products, and why this option is best chosen when airflow and size flexibility are more important than cost efficiency.
