What surfaces do Octopus Stickers work on?

Octopus Stickers work best on smooth, flat, and non-porous surfaces such as glass, mirrors, acrylic panels, polished metal, and sealed wood. The small suction cups on the back create a vacuum-like hold, allowing the sticker to grip firmly without any glue. They are not designed for rough or porous materials like painted walls, textured plaster, unsealed timber, or concrete, as the air gaps stop the suction from forming properly. For the best results, always make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or oils before applying.

Are they truly repositionable?

Yes, they are. You can remove and reapply Octopus Stickers many times without losing grip. The micro-suction technology lets them hold strongly while still being easy to peel off and move. As long as the sticker and the surface remain clean and dry, the suction will stay effective. If dust or dirt builds up, a quick wipe on the back of the sticker will restore its stickiness. This makes them perfect for reusable displays, window promotions, or seasonal signage that needs to move from one location to another.

Do they leave residue?

No, Octopus Stickers leave no residue at all. Since they use micro-suction rather than adhesive, they don’t have any glue layer that could mark or damage a surface. Which side of the sticker can I stick to a surface?

Octopus Stickers only stick on the rear side, where the small suction caps are built into the material. This is the clear, slightly textured side that makes contact with the surface. The printed side cannot stick, as the ink covers the suction layer. Always apply the smooth, suction side to your surface and leave the printed side facing out. If the sticker is ever applied the wrong way, it will not hold. To keep the suction working properly, make sure the back stays clean and free from dust or fingerprints before each use.

Are these stickers waterproof?

Octopus Stickers are water-resistant, meaning they can handle light moisture or cleaning without damage. The print won’t run or smudge, and the suction will stay effective if the sticker and surface are dry after cleaning. However, they are not designed for constant outdoor exposure, heavy rain, or areas where water can pool on the surface. For best performance, keep them indoors or in covered spaces such as shopfront windows, event displays, or glass doors.

How should I store or reuse them?

When you’re not using your Octopus Stickers, always keep the original backing sheet. This helps protect the micro-suction surface and keeps it clean for next time. Store the sticker flat and out of direct sunlight. If the suction side collects dust or lint, gently wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry completely before reapplying. Doing this will restore the grip and keep your stickers looking fresh and performing like new.

What is the turnaround time?

The standard turnaround time is two business days for orders up to $1,000 + GST, once artwork is approved before our daily cut-off. For every additional $1,000 + GST, please allow one extra business day. This system keeps production fair and predictable for all trade customers, ensuring reliable and consistent dispatch. You’ll always see your estimated dispatch date when you place your order.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Once your order is placed, it cannot be changed or cancelled. Our system automatically sends jobs straight into production to keep turnaround times fast and fair for everyone. You’ll get a clear warning before checkout to double-check your artwork and order details, so please make sure everything’s final before confirming.

Do you offer split packing or multiple delivery addresses?

Each job is delivered to one address only. This keeps our workflow efficient and our trade pricing sharp. If you need items sent to more than one location, we recommend using a third-party logistics provider (3PL) who can handle split distribution for you. We can refer you to trusted partners who specialise in this service.

Can you help with artwork setup or design?

We don’t provide artwork setup or design because we operate as a pure trade printer. Our focus is on fast and precise production. However, our prepress system automatically checks for common issues like missing bleed, trim box errors, or incorrect scaling to make sure your jobs move through production without delay.

Do you offer trade accounts or is prepayment required?

All orders are prepaid unless you have an approved trade account. Trade accounts are available for resellers with a strong credit record and an annual spend above $20,000. Once you’ve met that threshold and shown consistent order history, we’ll assess your eligibility through our credit partner. This helps us keep fair pricing for all trade customers.

Do you guarantee production or delivery times?

Our production times are extremely reliable, with over 99% of jobs dispatched on or before schedule. While we can’t control courier delays, our internal workflow is designed to meet or exceed the stated turnaround times. You’ll always be notified promptly if anything unexpected affects your delivery.

Can I get a sample before ordering a large run?

Yes, we recommend ordering a small sample if you’re planning a large job. This lets you test how the material grips and removes from your preferred surface before committing to a full order. Our minimum order cost is low, so sampling is quick, easy, and ensures your customer will be happy with the result.

Can you make exceptions to finishes or turnaround times for one-off Octopus Repositionable sticker orders?

No. Octopus Repositionable orders must be submitted using the material options, finishes, and turnaround times available in our system at the time of ordering, and we’re unable to make one-off exceptions outside of those settings. This product relies on controlled production processes to maintain repositionable adhesive performance and clean removability, and our system reflects the parameters required to deliver consistent results at scale. We do not offer off-system processing for individual jobs, as it affects repeatability and production flow. If you see a long-term opportunity based on regular usage or wider customer demand, we welcome that feedback for future review.

Why does pricing change in steps instead of increasing evenly with quantity?

Pricing for Octopus Repositionable stickers follows a true cost, linear metre based production model rather than estimated square metre pricing. This material is printed in continuous lengths, and depending on the size of each sticker, multiple units can often be positioned across the width of the stock before additional linear metres are required. As a result, pricing may stay flat across certain quantity ranges and then increase only when the next row or length of material is needed. This method reflects actual material consumption, print time, finishing, and waste handling, providing clear and accurate pricing. It also rewards efficient artwork layouts and delivers more consistent margin outcomes for trade customers.
