Polypropylene with Taping

24 Hour Production
24 Hour Production
Polypropylene with Taping is a highly durable outdoor signage material that resists heat, wear, and the elements, making it a reliable choice for OHS and site safety boards, with a secure mounting option thanks to the inclusion of rear taping. Made from condensed propylene, this solid-core stock is the same base material used in Corflute, but is heavier per square metre and less rigid. Unlike Corflute’s fluted texture, Polypropylene has an exceptionally smooth surface, delivering outstanding print quality with sharp, legible results ideal for long-lasting, high-visibility signage.

With the inclusion of double-sided rear taping and a variety of placement options, installation is quick, clean, and hassle-free - perfect for mounting signs to walls, windows, counters, or other smooth surfaces without the need for tools or hardware.

Polypropylene with Taping is available in custom sizes up to 2400mm x 1200mm. Please follow the link below for pricing, or contact us for more information. You can also explore answers to frequently asked questions below.

FAQ

Promeg Polypropylene is available in 1.4mm only. This thickness provides a smooth, rigid surface ideal for print quality and consistent taping alignment during production.
No. Due to the automated taping process, all Promeg Polypropylene With Taping products are single-sided print only. The reverse side includes pre-applied adhesive tape for quick mounting.
Promeg Polypropylene has a bright white, smooth finish with a clean, satin sheen that enhances print vibrancy. Unlike textured boards, it offers a more refined look suitable for both indoor and short-term outdoor signage.
No. Promeg Polypropylene With Taping is supplied in rectangular cuts only. Custom shapes would interfere with the automated taping layout, which is designed for efficient and consistent adhesive placement across production.
Each sheet is fitted with 24mm Hyena Double-Sided Tissue Tape using a solvent-based acrylic adhesive. The tape is PVC-free and engineered for long-lasting adhesion to most smooth, approved surfaces.
The Hyena Double-Sided Tissue Tape performs reliably for indoor and short- to medium-term outdoor applications. Its solvent acrylic adhesive maintains a strong bond between –40°C and 100°C, but the tissue carrier is not designed for direct moisture or prolonged rain exposure. For best results, install on clean, sealed, and smooth surfaces.
Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or silicone coatings. Avoid textured or non-stick paints. For optimal adhesion, press firmly during installation — maximum bond strength is achieved after 24 hours.
Once production begins, orders cannot be modified or cancelled. Please confirm artwork, quantities, and specifications before submitting. Our system starts automated printing and taping immediately to maintain fast lead times.
All orders require prepayment unless you hold an approved Mediapoint trade account. Trade accounts are available to resellers with an annual spend over $20,000 and a strong payment history.
Yes. We recommend ordering a small sample run before larger jobs, especially when testing adhesion, tape positioning, or print tone. This ensures your expectations are met before proceeding with volume production.
If artwork is approved before our daily cut-off, production is typically one business day for jobs under $500 + GST. For every additional $1,500 + GST, add one extra business day. Live turnaround estimates are displayed in your Mediapoint portal at checkout.
The Hyena Double-Sided Tissue Tape adheres best to smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces such as painted metal, glass, PVC, acrylic, polypropylene, and powder-coated panels. Avoid rough, porous, or dusty materials like brick, raw timber, or concrete, as well as non-stick or silicone-coated surfaces. Always clean the surface before mounting and allow 24 hours for full bond strength.

Pricing for Polypropylene with Taping is calculated using a true cost, sheet based production model rather than square metre estimates. Polypropylene sheets are produced in full formats, with taping applied as a secondary finishing step, meaning pricing may remain flat until an additional sheet or finishing run is required. This ensures pricing reflects actual material usage, finishing time, handling, and waste, rather than averaged assumptions. The result is transparent pricing and better predictability for resellers, particularly on well optimised layouts.

No. Polypropylene with Taping orders must be placed using the finishes and turnaround times available in our system at the time of ordering, and we’re unable to alter these for individual requests. This approach ensures consistent finishing quality and predictable lead times across trade volumes. Where feedback reflects ongoing demand or a long-term opportunity, we encourage you to raise it for future review.
