How Mediapoint works

Our Process

From picking a product to a box landing on your customer's doorstep, here is the whole journey, and where you need to pay attention.

  1. Choose it
  2. Upload it
  3. Approve it
  4. We do the rest

Stages 01–06

What you do

  1. Choose

    Choose your product

Browse the range and configure the job: product, size, quantity, material, finishing and whatever production options that product offers.

Pricing updates as you go, so you always know what the job costs before you commit to it.

  2. Cart

Add to cart, or save a quote

Happy with it? Add it to your cart. Not ready yet? Save it as a quote and come back to it.

Good to knowSaved quotes last 30 days

A saved quote holds your configuration for 30 days. After that the pricing may no longer reflect current rates, so you would need to reconfigure the job.

  3. Deliver

    Sort your delivery

Choose how the order needs to get there. The available delivery options appear in the cart, so you can pick what suits the timeframe and the budget. Where a product allows it, you can select pickup instead.

This is also where the good stuff lives: blind shipping is standard, and you can add your Company Label and a Feature Label at no cost.

  4. Upload

    Upload your artwork

Upload the print-ready PDF for the job. From there it goes straight through our automated checks rather than sitting in a queue waiting for a person.

    Read the artwork guides
Good to knowArtwork has to meet spec

If the file does not meet Mediapoint specifications, you may need to correct it or replace it before the job can continue. Where the problem is something we can fix automatically, Autofix will offer to do it.

  5. Check

    Check your proof

We generate a proof from your file. This is the checkpoint that matters: review it properly, and confirm the artwork, sizing and layout are all correct.

Good to knowThis is your final opportunity to check the job

You are responsible for checking the artwork, sizing, layout and the other details shown in the proof. Once it is approved, it is what we print.

  6. Pay

    Finalise and pay

Complete the order. Prepaid customers pay before production can start. Approved account customers order on their agreed terms.

This is the last checkpoint before the automated system takes over.

The one thing to remember

You approve. We move.

  • No cancellations
  • No artwork changes
  • No order changes
  • No last-minute instructions

The moment you approve, the job enters our automated production workflow. Not a queue, not an inbox: the workflow itself.

Production files get prepared, jobs are nested and grouped with other work, materials and packaging are allocated and consignments start being generated. Pulling one job back out means unpicking an automated process that has already moved on, which is why approval is the point of no return rather than an arbitrary rule.

Stages 08–11

What we do

You are done at this point. This is what happens while you wait.

  1. Automated prepress

Behind the scenes, the system does the work a prepress operator would otherwise do by hand: preparing production files, nesting and grouping jobs to use material efficiently, allocating what the job needs, working out packaging and preparing dispatch information.

This is what makes next-day turnaround possible at trade prices.

  2. We make it

The job hits the floor. Depending on the product that means printing, cutting, finishing and assembling, on equipment built for volume.

  3. Quality check and pack

Finished work is checked and packed for dispatch. Packaging is based on the product and the delivery option you chose when ordering.

Any Company Label or Feature Label you added to the order is applied to the box at this point.

  4. Dispatch or pickup

How it finishes depends on what you chose at the start. For delivery, the order is dispatched on the freight option you selected, with tracking where the carrier provides it. For pickup, you are notified when it is ready to collect.

Good to knowOne job, one destination

Each job is dispatched to a single address. If goods need to go to more than one place, they need to be placed as separate jobs. Delivery dates are estimates, and freight delays can happen once goods leave us.

  • Ordering is easy.Configure, upload, approve.
  • The system is fast.Because it barely stops to think.
  • Automation is why.Not shortcuts. Structure.
  • Approval is final.Check it before you press go.
  • We take it from there.Printed, packed and sent.
