What is Keder and why is it used?

Keder is a reinforced edge with a round cord sewn or welded into the banner hem, allowing the banner to slide into a sail track or extrusion system. It ensures a tight fit and is ideal for high-end framing or structural display systems.

What size should I put into the system?

Please note the size you put in the system is the size of the print and cut, the Keder itself will add around 16mm to the total dimension. So input the size you would like the banner to be when we print and cut it and ensure this is 16mm smaller on the width and height to where you want the edge of Keder to be.

Can I choose white or black Keder?

Yes. We offer both white and black Keder edging to best suit your project’s aesthetic or environmental conditions. White is preferred for clean visuals; black is often used where concealment or contrast is needed.

How do I install banners with Keder?

Simply slide the Keder edge into the sail track or compatible framing system. Installation is straightforward and requires no grommets, rope, or zip ties. It creates an even tension across the surface for a professional, sag-free presentation.

Are the prints waterproof and UV resistant?

Yes. We print using UV-cured inks that resist fading, scratching, and water damage. The matte finish enhances visibility in sunlight and extends durability in tough outdoor environments.

What printing method is used?

All banners are produced using our Durst 512R UV LED press, delivering high-resolution graphics with long-lasting colour and scratch resistance. The matte ink finish helps eliminate glare on large-scale surfaces.

When should I choose Keder banners?

Choose Keder banners when you need precise alignment, tensioned installation, or a premium finish especially in shopfronts, construction hoardings, scaffold wraps, or building facades. They work best with pre-installed tracks or custom framing.

Can I blindship banners directly to my client?

Yes. All orders can be blind shipped with your own branding and documentation. We specialise in trade-only fulfilment, so your business remains front and centre with no Mediapoint branding on the shipment.

What are the production timelines?

For orders under $500 + GST, standard turnaround is next business day after artwork approval (before cut-off). For every additional $1,000 in value, allow one extra business day. All products are shipped from our Melbourne facility with tracking.

Do I need to prepay for orders?

If you don’t hold a Mediapoint trade account, full prepayment is required. Account holders can place orders on credit, subject to eligibility and minimum spend requirements.
