Unfinished banners are best when you want maximum flexibility or a simplified installation. They’re ideal for taping to walls, mounting in frames, or using on timber backings, particularly for indoor signage or outdoor use in calm conditions. If you require reinforced edges for wind resistance or tensioned hanging, a finished banner with hems and eyelets is the better option.

Will the edges fray or tear without hems?

No. Our banners are made from 510gsm PVC vinyl which is precision-cut and doesn’t fray like fabric. However, without hems, the edges lack reinforcement and may be more susceptible to tearing under stress. If your installation involves outdoor exposure or tensioned mounting, we recommend securing all sides evenly or selecting a hemmed product for added durability.

How can I install an unfinished banner?

There are several ways to install an unfinished PVC banner. You can tape or glue it directly to a wall, window, or smooth surface for indoor use. It can be stapled or nailed to timber fences or mounted inside a frame or clamp system for a cleaner finish. You can also use a grommet tool to install eyelets manually. Whatever the method, ensure the banner is evenly supported to avoid stress along the cut edges.

Can I add eyelets or finishing later?

Yes, eyelets can be added using a handheld grommet press or DIY eyelet kit. However, hemming cannot be added after printing, as it requires folding and welding, which would alter the finished size. Do you offer custom sizes or shape cutting?

Yes we do and we can also cut simple custom shapes on our Zünd cutting table. This includes shapes with up to five smooth points such as circles, rounded rectangles, or clean logo outlines. More complex or concave shapes aren’t available on this product, as we keep our process focused on efficient and consistent cutting for trade production.

Can I blindship banners directly to my client?

Absolutely. As part of our trade-only model, we offer blind shipping on all orders. Your client receives the product in unbranded packaging, and we can include your logo or documentation as part of the delivery. This allows you to fulfil jobs without handling or reboxing products yourself.

How quickly can I get my order?

Orders under $1,000 + GST are produced next business day after artwork approval if approved by the cut off time. For every additional $2,000 in job value, allow one extra business day. All banners are shipped directly from our Melbourne facility with tracking provided once dispatched.

Do I need to prepay for orders?

If you don’t have a Mediapoint trade account, full payment is required upfront. Approved resellers with an active account can order on terms, subject to credit approval and minimum spend thresholds. No. PVC Vinyl Banner Unfinished orders must be placed using the sizes and turnaround times available in our system at the time of ordering, and we’re unable to make exceptions or manually process one-off requests outside of those options. Even though this is an unfinished banner, it still runs through defined production workflows for printing, trimming, and handling, and our scheduling relies on consistent system rules to maintain reliable lead times across all trade orders. We do not have a workaround to bypass the system for individual jobs, including special requests for manual trimming, alternative handling, or expedited turnaround.
