Custom Cut stickers are an alternative to traditional bumper stickers when you need a printed sticker that isn’t a simple square or rectangular shape. Custom Stickers are kiss cut to any simple shape and finished with a 5mm dead space margin around the kiss cut making them easy to peel and stick.

We digitally print and cut stickers so no run is too small. This means we can deliver orders for smaller-scale promotions, large campaigns and anything in between. All of our stocks are made of vinyl which makes them waterproof and you can also opt to laminate stickers you need extra protection or want to prolong the sticker life by another year. Our inks are rated to withstand 2 years outdoors unlaminated.

What Exactly Is A Simple Shape?

A simple shape is 1 contour line with no more than 5 points or hard curves. These specifications are compatible with most modern company logos and allow for flexibility when designing your custom stickers.

What Is the Minimum & Maximum Custom Sticker Size You Can Offer?

The minimum size we will guillotine a die cut sticker is 50mm x 50mm which is the size of the outer square/rectangle die cut (the kiss cut can be smaller than this). The maximum size we can offer is 1200mm x 1600mm.

What Size Do I Quote In The System?

Please add 10mm to the width and height of your kiss cut size to factor in the excess for the outer cut of the custom cut sticker. For example, if the kiss cut size is 60mm x 60mm, the finished size to enter in the system is 70mm x 70mm.

How Does Lamination Help Custom Cut Stickers?

Lamination protects the ink from any abrasion or chemicals. It also prolongs the ink life by an extra year. The ink we use for sticker printing is rated to endure 2 years of outdoors exposure unlaminated. Please note that the actual material it is printed on has a different specified life.

How Is the Print Quality?

We digitally print custom cut stickers and use latex ink in order to maximise outdoor durability. Although we deliver very high quality results, digital printing does create a grainer effect with solid colours, as well as print with larger pixels which can be an issue with the sharpness of small text. The benefit of our process is being able to do shorter runs and custom shapes with an outdoor durable ink, however, if your customer is after an offset finish, then our digital print might not be suitable.

What Stock Should I Choose?

Selection of stock depends on a range of individual factors such as whether you would prefer a matt or gloss finish, how long you would like the stickers to last and whether you need any special adhesive like a removable or a block out stock. When you select a stock you can also decide whether you need lamination for extra protection. You can find further information about all of our stocks under the Product Specification tab.

Is Digital Ink On Clear Solid?

CMYK printed on clear vinyl is not solid. If you display custom stickers on a dark background the ink will be translucent and barely visible. The only way around this is to consider one of our white ink sticker products which entail printing white ink under the CMYK for increased visibility.

What Is The Difference Between Monomeric & Polymeric Stocks?

The difference in the products is in the manufacturing processes and the composition of the stocks. However unprinted monomeric stocks are typically rated for durability at 1-2 years, while unprinted polymeric stocks are typically rated at 3-5 years for custom stickers.
