When design labels there are a few things to be aware of. This can affect the quality of the label printing for your labels.
Firstly with labels the dimensions can be quite small. Also you may need to cram a lot of text onto the design. Therefore you need to be careful at how small you make your text. A general rule is if at 100% on your screen you cannot read your text very clearly then there is no way it will print clearly. We recommend zooming out to 50% and if you are not happy with it at this distance then you might need to make an adjustment. The reason we say this as people tend to look at labels from further back.
Colours are also an important factor. When printing rich colours this will cause the ink to bleed slightly. So avoid putting thin or small letters in an area with thick layers of ink and also try to avoid printing small letters with really dense colours. This will remove a lot of issues with smaller text.
The final consideration is turnaround time. A lot of clients do not plan very well and need their orders in 1-2days which we can do. However if we sacrifice time for speed this can mean we cannot print really fine designs in a slower but better mode.
By being aware of the above label considerations you can turn your custom labels into a great tool to brand your product.
