Even though we are digital printers, we promote using matching colors. For example Red’s blend in and don’t stand out on black and vice versa. If you want to do something that blends in you can use colours that match such as purples and pinks. However to make something stand out use a light colour on a dark colour and the other way around.
Images are great to use with our printing process. We find that the best sticker designs utilize one core image and try to make this the focus (preferably as large as possible). When you have plenty of smaller images this can reduce the impact and size of any one image.
Getting your message across is also very vital. What is your call to action on the design of the sticker? Do you want people to know your website or do you just want them to simply know what you do?
