The team at No Sense Entertainment choose Mediapoint regularly to brand their range of penny press machines. From their initial concepts we produce a production sample on our stocks. The reason we do this is to ensure all gradients and colours correspond well to each other. As we tend to do a number of these penny presses at once we like to ensure that our customer is 100% happy with the print before we actually get to production.
This machine in particular uses 3 different materials. On the base of the machine we use a car wrap film which is laminated. We tend to choose this as it is our longest lasting material and is protected because of the laminate. It also has a bubble free adhesive which leads to a better finish on the surface. In regards to the clear plastic we use reversed stickers on 3 of the sides. This is so that the prints are protected as much as possible from handling from use of the machine. For the back panel we use a double sided sticker which is installed from the inside for this same reason.
In this instance the machines given to us were fairly used. Typically if we are sticking to a painted surface this needs to be smooth or else any wear and tear will show through. So Jason in this instance sanded down the surface in order to have the best possible finish.
Overall we handled this project from providing samples, printing in production right until installation. For more information on these sorts of projects check out our stickers and signage pages.
