The video highlights Jamie (one of Mediapoints founders) winning the Global Student Entreprenur award in Australia. Jamie then went on to compete in Kansas City USA representing Australia. Even though Jamie did not win in the competition he did score highly. He also left a good impression on the global stage about Entrepreneurs in Australia. Here is some feedback from Jamie from the trip:
“The trip to the GSEA global competition was very insightful and I met a lot of great people. From the trip I learned how much more of a challenge us Australians have in business. Working in a much smaller market means that there are less niche’s we can target. What it also means is that we are more resilient as Entrepreneurs due to the mentality that has limited our market. I think the world really does not know what we are capable of which is also a good thing. I had the chance to meet some Australians and New Zealanders over there and it showed through that our difference in cultures can be an advantage in the global market”.
