Limitations Of Resin Stickers

As we are able to cut stickers to any shape and size, some customers are confused with the limitations of resin stickers. Resin stickers is another name for domed stickers.

Resin Stickers

For resin stickers we require each edge of the artwork to have at least a 2mm radius and no square corners. This is so that the resin we apply to a sticker does not come off any sharp edges. Even with shapes with many corners (more than 4) you must be aware these must be rounded and not straight.

Also we cannot dome any area which is under 15 x 15mm as it is too small for us to apply. With the needles we use and the way the resin comes out of our needles, we need a big enough area for the resin to land on. If the surface area is not large enough it is impossible for us to dome without resin coming off the stickers.

Also with colour matching, even though we print a certain colour through our printers, the resin can alter the ways colours project. It tends to make colours lighter than what is printed. This will depend on how much light is in the room you are viewing your resin stickers in.
