Getting The Right Food Labels

I am often asked what sort of labels can be stuck straight on to food. The simple answer is that the label must be food friendly and that is something your printer must outline.

Mediapoints stickers are not food friendly and cannot be stuck straight onto foods. An example of such foods are apples which you would find in grocery stores. There are 2 reasons for this. Firstly the adhesive used on the sticker must be food friendly and not contain anything harmful to a person. Because we use strong adhesive which are designed to adhere to surfaces our adhesive is not suitable. The second reason is the actual inks. We use inks which are outdoor durable in sunlight. Because of this the ink is thicker and contains chemicals which are not recommended to be eaten.

If you are looking for labels which are food friendly then you need to find a supplier which advertises as food friendly. The problem with this though is you might need to be looking at getting a larger run of stickers because there is usually a higher cost involved with setting up these sorts of labels.
