Here, you see how the labels on rolls are initially printed on the stock ordered. The process of which labels on rolls go through is simple, however, if something may go wrong the price for fixing the mistake may be time consuming and costly for us, so we make sure everything runs smoothly. Fox Studio Australia recently ordered labels on rolls with rounded corners. In the small size that the stickers were in we were abel to fit 3 columns across the material being used, this saves on material and also gives our costumers the cheaper price. We print our labels using our new Rapid X1 Inkjet Printer which gives us a very good quality print at a fast speed, then we place our printed stock into our labels on roll cutting machine were each individual sticker is then cut to size and at the same time removes the outer stock, which we don’t need, off the roll itself. After all the stickers are cut we then use our counter machine to make sure we have the correct amount of labels on each roll before we package and send to our client.

Fox Studio also had us do a colour match for the unusual stock that they wanted to use so it was important for us to chose the closest colour to match the Pantone colour code that was given to us. Once the colour match was approved by Fox Studio the job was ready to be printed and begin the labels on roll process. In the end, Fox Studio’s labels came out looking at a high quality and client was very please.

Rapid X1 Inkjet Labels On Rolls

We have recently acquired a new Rapid X1 inkjet label roll to roll printer. We have upgraded from our old printer as here at Mediapoint we like to stay ahead with technology. The reason why this printer is great for our customers is for several reasons.

Due to the Memjet technology in the print heads, print speeds are faster than ever before. This is especially great on those larger orders. Also as the heads run on an inkjet based ink the consumables are much cheaper than our previous setup. Because of this we are able to offer some of the cheapest rates in the market for custom sized digital labels on rolls. This also means unlike our old setup where we needed to see your artwork to calculate a label cost, with this setup the pricing is so low we have a custom flat rate across all orders so quoting can be done within a few minutes.

Also this print setup has great flexibility in colour setup. With older toner based setups colour consistency is a major issue as output colour can change based on toner levels. With the Rapid X1 this is not an issue.

The Rapid X1 also runs a cost effective gloss paper which prints superbly. It is also great in that it can be written on unlike other gloss stocks.

The main benefits to you with Mediapoint upgrading to this technology is that:

Traditional Fine Foods Labels

The team at traditional fine food recently came to us for some guidance on getting some uniquely cut labels on rolls.

On top of this request they also needed an easy way to apply their labels onto their products. So to make the process easier they have installed an applicator. For the applicator labels need to be supplied on rolls. The applicator then peels and sticks the labels onto product packaging which it is setup for.

This is a great benefit as countless hours can be spent applying labels on sheets manually by hand. This also leads to a more smooth application as bubbles are basically non-existent. Aligning also is more spot on via an application as everything is aligned the same in your initial setup.

On this particular job the team at Traditional Fine Foods were after 3 sorts of paper labels on rolls. The first were a unique half moon shape with die cut around certain parts of their image. This was no problem due to our digital cutting machines. The other 2 labels were rectangular in shape.

Due to our digital cutting capabilities, we are able to get out label orders faster than other companies. Other suppliers usually need to order in custom die’s which can delay a job by a few weeks whereas we can get an order out just in a few days.

Also because of our digital printing capabilities we are able to print as many colours as we like and this is not limited unlike traditional offset printing.
