The Brother Hood Of St Laurence recently came to us to transform the rear entrance of their Brunswick Store. This entrance led into a garage which entered into their store. The issue was that the wall was half chip board and the other half was old plaster.
After spending some time with the client to see what suited their needs we recommended Aluminium Composite Panel signs with a 5 year print laminated. The reason being is even though the signs were inside, we wanted something as durable as possible which could be screwed into their walls. Also with the unpredictability of customers coming through the store lamination was a must to protect the print.
The customer had supplied the artwork. However Jamie went out to do an inspection to get measurements and check out the site. The artwork was setup to the correct size however in order to get the job as perfect as possible Gabby had altered the artwork so minimal text was going over the joins which was only a minor modification.
We then proceeded to print production samples for the customer to approve. We do this on all larger project jobs to ensure the customer is 100% happy with the final output of colour.
All up the job consisted of 21 different composite panel signs stretching over 22 linear meters of wall space. When it came time to installation, Jason dropped off the signs a day before the install. This was to reduce any time in installation as a few hours can be spent with this amount of signs just transporting everything.
On the day of the install Matt went out on site. Unfortunately as the store was being renovated, the labourers had not cleaned the area as promised and we could not work around the area due to safety reasons. So Matt had to go out a couple of days later once the area was properly cleared.
When it came to the install Matt screwed everything into the wall. We also provided an excess of the material in the exact same colours to cover all screws to make this install as seamless as possible.
Overall the install transformed this area and the Brotherhood of St Laurence have transformed this area with signage to how they want it used.
