Doming Stickers

This is how stickers are domed

Domed stickers are unique and a great way to make your stickers stand out. How this is unique is that there is a plastic bubble placed on the top of your stickers to create a shinny dome effect on them. The stickers are flexible and are ideal for a range of promotions. Examples include on computer cases, on service items and on promotional items such as USB’s.

The process of doming is more complicated and time consuming than making standard stickers. Once the stickers to be domed are printed and cut into sheets, we need to spray and apply them to our doming boards. From here we setup our doming machinery cleaning all equipment and ensuring we have a clean workspace. We then mix the resin with a hardener in small batches. When we start doming we do a few tests to ensure we are placing the right amount of resin on each sticker. We have a timer to ensure there is equal dosage on each sticker. The problem though is by having slightly too much resin will cause the resin to come off the sticker. This is why we require rounded edges. After the resin is place on each sticker we use heat to get out any small bubbles in the resin. We then leave the stickers on a perfect flat surface 24 hours to harden. After the stickers are ready and hard we place an A4 sheet over each sheet to protect the stickers further before posting them out to you.

You can see that sticker doming is an involved process. This is why there is a larger beginning cost but as you order larger quantities you will notice larger discounts.
